A unique way to explore Eastern Veneto.
The seafront cycle path, the Giralemene – Lemene Route and the Caorle Lagoon Route. Three options along the coast you can choose from if you want to explore some remarkably intact fluvial and lagoon landscapes.
Boats, fishing nets and the tales of wise old fishermen plunge you in an atmosphere where this ancient activity follows the rhythm of day and night, and the seasons of the year attract grey mullet, sea bream, sea-bass, sepia and shrimp.
These landscapes were experienced and vividly portrayed by Ernest Hemingway, in his “Across the River and Into the Trees”, while he was a guest with the Franchetti family.

April, May, September and October are perhaps the best months to spot the fauna of the lagoon; ranging from the many species of migratory birds to the shier deer and roe deer
