By Bike or By Foot
At the Hotel Garden Sea we think that crossing the territory by bicycle is certainly the best way to get to know it. In Eastern Venice along the coastline, the lagoons and internal waterways and from the coast to all the way inland, routes unravel which are ideal for the cycling fans. The main cycling routes follow the guidelines of the historic communication routes: the Venetian coastline, which runs parallel to the coast and constitutes a single route through the internal waterways, the Sile, Piave, Livenza, Lemene, and Tagliamento rivers, which connect the coast to the hinterland, and, finally, the roads through the best known wine production areas, renowned since the time of the Venetian Republic.
Caorle by bike
The seafront cycle path, the Giralemene – Lemene Route and the Caorle Lagoon Route. Three options along the coast you can choose from if you want to explore some remarkably intact fluvial and lagoon landscapes.
Boats, fishing nets and the tales of wise old fishermen plunge you in an atmosphere where this ancient activity follows the rhythm of day and night, and the seasons of the year attract grey mullet, sea bream, sea-bass, sepia and shrimp.
These landscapes were experienced and vividly portrayed by Ernest Hemingway, in his “Across the River and Into the Trees”, while he was a guest with the Franchetti family.
Visiting the Lagoon
You cannot leave Caorle without first seeing the lagoon, a place so dear to the famous writer Ernest Hemingway A still unspoilt environment where time passes slowly, silently and you can admire and listen to the many birds that nest in this area. You can board the Motonave Arcobaleno or the typical 'bragozzo', the Serenissima (a lagoon boat suitable for shallow waters), which depart daily from the town's fishing port and cross the same waterways travelled by fishermen to reach the 'casoni', typical constructions made of marsh reeds, once used as dwellings for the families of fishermen who lived here during the long fishing periods.
To Venice
If you then wish to visit Venice, we recommend taking the motorboat Caorle, which departs from the port of Caorle and will disembark you, after a pleasant sea crossing along the Venetian coast, in the immediate vicinity of the splendid St Mark's Square.

Adventure Parks
Tropicarium Park: is a theme park that will take you to the discover more than 500 Tropical animals from around the world. Designed to respect nature, giving careful attention to each one recreating its habitat as faithfully as possible. The park is divided into various sections the Tropicarium with its Predators and Killer Animals like lions, sharks, crocodiles, snakes and insects as well as turtles, frogs, penguins, owls, monkeys … there is also a Butterfly Gallery which is home to lots many different species.
Zoo Park - Punta Verde: The zoo is always the most favourite of all the parks especially for the smaller visitors. The Punta Verde zoo, home to over 1,000 animals of 200 species from around the world, with Mammals, Birds and Reptiles. Located at Lignano and offers 100,000 square meters of park, located between the two banks of the river Tagliamento, in the northwestern part of the peninsular.
Golf
The Pra’ delle Torri Golf Club, located just 7 kilometers from Caorle, is a splendid 18-hole seaside golf course, 6045 m, Par 72 and available for the use of our guests at special conditions.
This relaxing course requires golfers with skill and passion for the game particularly during windy periods.
The course is also suited for beginners, although the wind and well-positioned flags provide a tough challenge even for the more expert golfers

Sailing Courses
Weekly sailing courses for adults and children
Another fun-packed option for our little guests, to fully enjoy their seaside holiday, is to take part in a sailing course. During the entire course the children are carefully taken care of and supervised by highly professional instructors.
Course fees include all training material and equipment, insurance and a one-year membership to the prestigious the Italian Sailing Federation.
The courses are held on the Levante Beach, from where you can enjoy a striking view of the Madonna dell’Angelo church on the opposite side of the bay.
The courses are open to everyone and are taught in Italian and English. Lessons are held from Monday to Friday, from 11am to 5.30pm (this includes transport to and from the Garden Hotel).
Book your week-course in advance – Participation is limited to 10 people per week.
